Mrs. Natosha Jones

My name is Natosha Jones, and I’ve been an educator for 22 years with 17 of those being within FBISD. I really enjoy growing student leaders and helping kids through their individual learning paths so that they are able to find and then chart their own way. I believe in supporting the social emotional needs of all students and I recognize the importance of allowing my students to have ownership of their learning. These are things that I am very passionate about and I will do all that I can to ensure that my students are successful.

One of my most celebrated accomplishments is being able to serve students and educators abroad. I taught students and trained teachers on my campus in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for three years. It was a wonderful experience to be invited into such a rich culture that was very different from my own. The acceptance that I received from my Emirate family was motivating, uplifting, and supportive. I also loved the delicious variety of middle eastern cuisine! My time abroad was filled with lots of hard work, training, growth, and adventure! I feel so honored to have met so many amazing educators from all over the world! I learned a lot of new things and made many new friends during my time there. It was the experience of a lifetime!

I am an advocate for continued learning, so I am always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and grow. I often learn new ways of doing things from my very talented students. I have served students and parents in various capacities while in education, but growing children will always be my passion. I love teaching reading comprehension, enjoy finding fun and innovative ways to grow my students, and I push small group collaboration which occurs regularly in my classroom. I look forward to a year of growth from your Thundercat and am VERY excited about starting this school year with your child.
