I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from high school in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I attended Louisiana State University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Performance with a minor in Political Science. After graduating, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University to get my Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Education. I moved to Houston to join my wife Stephanie. I spent a year teaching Math, English, Social Studies, Drama, and Choir to 6th- 8th graders at Rainard School for Gifted Students and a year teaching first grade at Holy Spirit Episcopal School before moving to Hodges Bend Middle School in 2012. I taught Theatre 1, Theatre 2, Theatre 3, and Intro to Broadcasting during my six years there. I have a daughter, Caroline, who was born in February, 2014 and a son, Leo, who was born in June, 2016. I am excited to continue our work here at Ronald Thornton Middle School, especially building on our One Act Play District Championship in our first year!
