Miss Baylee Redmond
Hello everyone! This is my second year at Ronald Thornton Middle School and my second year teaching! I am honored to serve as the 6th grade math team lead and co-sponsor of NJHS this year! I successfully obtained my bachelor’s degree from Houston Baptist University in 2022 (Dawgs Up!). I am delighted to have the opportunity to teach sixth graders math! Moreover, my aspiration extends beyond academic development, as I also aim to equip your student(s) with a diverse array of life skills throughout our year together. I firmly believe that each and every student possesses the capacity to achieve their utmost potential, although this endeavor necessitates a collaborative effort—it takes a village! When we work together, the sky is the limit.
Looking ahead, I am enthusiastic about building strong relationships with my students, as well as aiding them in navigating the challenges of their first year in middle school. I know this is a HUGE transition for both the students and the parents/guardians. Personally, having grown up in the Sugar Land area and having attended Fort Bend schools, I can relate to the immersive experiences and high expectations set within this community.
Outside of the educational sphere, I am a huge animal lover, dogs specifically. My dog's name is Blaze, and he is a mini Australian Shepherd (and the light of my life). In my free time, I enjoy going on walks, reading, watching YouTube, and spending time with my family. I anticipate a fruitful and fun academic year as we embark on this mathematical journey together!
Thunder PRIDE never dies!!!
