Greetings!  My name is Jasmine DeJohn, pronounced like the mustard.  I earned my bachelor's degree in English from The University of Houston (GO COOGS!) with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Film Studies. I spent the first five years of my career in retail.  This is where my passion for teaching bloomed.  I transitioned to a career in education in 2016 and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  I have been at RTMS since its opening.  I love being a Thundercat and I couldn't be more honored to be a part of an innovative, educational team. 

Aside from teaching, I enjoy sports, fitness, watching and analyzing films (I love Humphrey Bogart and animated films), listening to music (mostly old school R&B & 70s Rock & Roll), and spending time with my family.
