Mrs. LaKyshia Jones is an experienced educator and business professional with a passion for preparing the next generation of leaders. She brings over 15 years of experience in education, spanning both secondary and post-secondary instruction. In addition to teaching at the high school level, she also serves as an adjunct professor, committed to fostering excellence in academic and career pathways.

Before transitioning to education, Jones built a career in the financial sector, working for several Fortune 500 companies. Her time in the corporate world gave her firsthand insight into the demands of the global marketplace—experience she now translates into real-world learning opportunities for her students.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance Management. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in structure, high expectations, and the belief that all students can grow with the right support—principles influenced by Teach Like a Champion.

At the heart of her work is this message to every student:
“Take charge of your business—so your business doesn’t take charge of you.”
