My name is Mrs. Britni Wilson and I'm thrilled to be returning for my second year here at Almeta Crawford High School. In my second year, I hope to see lots of growth from both my students and myself. I come with 14 years of teaching experience, the bulk of which was spent in GPISD. Most of those years I served as the head Galena Park HS Speech and Debate Coach, making two appearances at UIL State for Speech. My experience teaching Debate and College Career Readiness will couple well with all the skills that will be learned in the Professional Communication courses. 

DEBATE

2024-2025  will be the Charter year for our Crawford Speech and Debate Team. Chartering a chapter with NSDA allows for our team to compete on the national circuit as well as national recognition in the debate realm. Debate students will be challenged to research, present, compete, and use their voice to articulate their viewpoints on current issues. It is my personal goal to contribute to the growth and development of our future leaders and stakeholders, starting right here with our Crawford Chargers.

Class overview

At Almeta Crawford High School, we strive to prepare our students for real world experiences. When a student enters the doors of my classroom, the aim is to give them the confidence they need to become a better speaker, skills to help articulate their point, and the poise to handle themselves for any given situation.
