Mrs. Lauren Williams
Hello,
My name is Lauren Williams. This is my 16th year teaching. I attended Florida A&M University where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and Journalism, with a minor in Literature. I also earned my Masters in Educational Leadership and Principal Certification from Houston Christian (formerly Houston Baptist) University. I have taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade, reading and writing. I spent the first five years of my career in HISD as a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA teacher. In 2013, we relocated, and I continued teaching 7th grade ELA at Stafford Middle School for eight years. This will be my fourth year in Fort Bend ISD and at Ronald Thornton Middle School as a 7th grade ELA teacher.
Each year of my teaching career has been memorable, from working with wonderful teachers to watching former students go on to high school, graduate, go to college or get their first job. In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, accountability, respect and clear communication. I believe that success can be achieved when we work together, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of such a supportive, helpful, and enthusiastic community of lifelong learners!
Tutorial Schedule: Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:20-8:50
