Kempner principal Dr. Danielle Jackson was recognized in June by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) with the 2023 Diversity Leadership Award. This award is given to a campus leader who embraces diversity and drives diversity education amongst the students, parents and community at large. 

"The TASSP Diversity Leadership Committee was impressed with her application and her dedication to the students, staff and community of Kempner High School," said Billy Pringle, TASSP Associate Executive Director.
