CAMPUS COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR

  • Hello! My name is Vanessa Browning, and I am the Campus Compliance Coordinator at Anne Sullivan Elementary. As the CCC, I support students, families, and staff in the areas of Special Education and Section 504. I also serve as the State Testing Coordinator for our campus. I have over 30 years of working in the field of special needs and am so thankful to be in a position that allows me to serve as a support and resource for both families and staff. I was also a foster parent for 9 years to a young woman with special needs, and am a stepmother to a son with special needs. I am a graduate of Montana State University-Billings, where I double majored in Special Education and Elementary Education. One of my proudest moments was coaching for the United States during the World Winter Games for Special Olympics. Please feel free to reach out at any time, we are here to do our very best for you!

  • The Campus Compliance Coordinator supports students, families, and staff in a variety of ways here at Sullivan Elementary. The job includes but is not limited to the following:

     

    • Schedule and facilitate all ARD and Section 504 meetings
    • Complete and coordinate paperwork/documentation required for these meetings
    • Attend monthly special education, 504, and national/state testing meetings
    • Assist with communication between assessment and related instructional services
    • Assist the campus concerning compliance with federal and state laws
    • Maintain eligibility folders and check for data integrity
    • Coordinate State testing programs and maintain security of testing materials 
    • Train campus staff in areas including best practices for special education and State testing (STAAR/TELPAS)
