Hello! My name is Jill Hamlett, and I am so excited to be your child's 4th grade ELA teacher!

I am a born and raised Texan- I grew up in The Woodlands and went through the school system in Conroe ISD. After graduating in 2008, I went on to obtain a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies at Sam Houston State University. Through Sam Houston, I am qualified to teach early childhood through 6th grade, as well as ESL. I spent about seven months working at a wealth management firm before pursuing my dream of becoming a teacher. In August 2013, I accepted my first teaching position as a 5th grade ELA/SS Teacher at Arizona Fleming Elementary! Over the last eleven years of teaching, I have worked in second grade, as well as fifth grade. I have served my campus as co-sponsor of Student Council and Girls Club, as well as PBIS co-chair. It has brought me such pride to see the success my students have had inside and outside of my classroom. My main goals as a teacher are to build great relationships with my students and to help them achieve growth in the time they spend with me. 

I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the "litter" at Anne Sullivan Elementary! Paired with the community, I know that this school year is going to be filled with learning and love. I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students, and challenging them as well as myself.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, soaking up the sun, working out, watching TV, spending time with my loved ones, traveling, and obsessing over dogs! I look forward to this 2024-2025 school year being one of success, happiness, and helping your child to become a confident learner!
