Hello! My name is Christine Nguyen. I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas. I received my bachelor's degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Houston and my master's degree in Reading Instruction at the University of St. Thomas. This will be my twelfth year in education and my eighth year teaching first grade at Palmer Elementary.

When I am not in the classroom, I am spending quality time with my family. I met my husband in college where we both studied to be educators, and together we have three daughters (who are also Palmer Bears!) We also have three shih-tzu fur babies- Mister, Millie, and Rosie. I enjoy cooking, binge watching shows, collecting plants, and going on food adventures.

This school year will be filled with lots of learning, new adventures, and plenty of fun. My goal is to instill a love for learning within every child that enters my classroom by nurturing their confidence, curiosity, and creativity. I look forward to helping our children begin their journeys as lifelong learners and can't wait to witness all of their accomplishments!
