Hello and welcome! I am Ms. Cervantes, a devoted educator of eighteen years, who will go above and beyond to meet my students’ needs. It is an honor to be part of the staff of Sullivan Elementary as the STEM outclass teacher. We were able to pilot the STEM outclass program at ASE and it is an incredible joy to watch STEM grow to other elementary campuses across the district.
After graduating from Clements High School, I began working in the FBISD Extended Day program at Colony Meadows Elementary. Through that experience, I just knew that education was the path for me. It was an honor to be a second grade teacher for Sullivan's inaugural year. For the previous three years, I taught fourth grade at Austin Parkway Elementary. Prior to that, I was at Barrington Place Elementary for ten years teaching fourth grade and working in Special Education as a paraprofessional.
My goal each year is to help all students believe in themselves and to create a classroom family where teamwork, kindness, and leadership motivate and inspire success in all we do. I believe in hard work, serving others, laughter, and enjoying the little things. Each day we can learn something new is a gift. I look forward to a rewarding year full of learning, leading, and inspiring all dalmatians in our digitally savvy STEM lab.
I have two incredible daughters who are my world. In my spare time, I love CrossFit training and competitions.
