Mrs. Veena Puthigai

Hello,

My name is Veena Puthigai, and I teach Resource Math for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades at Anne Sullivan Elementary. I joined the Anne Sullivan team in 2022 and have truly enjoyed being part of this supportive and vibrant school community.

I’ve been with Fort Bend ISD for over 18 years, serving in various roles within the Special Education department. My experience spans teaching, in-class behavior support, working in SAILS classrooms, and serving as a paraprofessional aide. While much of my early career was in middle schools, I transitioned to elementary education when I joined Anne Sullivan.

I hold a Bachelor of Science and a diploma in Computer Science from India, along with an Alternative Teaching Certification in Special Education and General Education (K–8) from the state of Texas.

Originally from India, I moved to the U.S. over 33 years ago with my husband. We have two grown children, and a sweet dachshund named Rambo. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cuddling with Rambo, and unwinding with movies and TV shows.
