Welcome to the upstairs Anne Sullivan Elementary art studio!

My name is Mrs. Levermann and I have been teaching art since January of 2007. I fell in love with art at my first oil painting lesson in second grade.  I love learning about becoming a more effective teacher. I am a fourth year PhD student at the University of Houston. There, I am studying Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Teaching & Teacher Education. I also serve my art education colleagues as the Fort Bend ISD Elementary Art Facilitator. I love my job and enjoy being creative with my students in our ASE art studio. We will learn to think and work like an artist.

My favorite mediums to create art with are colored pencil and watercolor. I enjoy painting or drawing seashells I have collected from our trips to the beach. I live in Sugar Land with my husband and our three daughters: Avery, Annie, and Audie. I agree with Picasso when he says, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” No matter your age or skill level, when you enter our studio, you are an artist!
