Hey Dalmatians!

I can't wait for this school year to begin! We are going to have so much fun!

My name is Megan Atwood and this will be my 15th year teaching. I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade this year to your kids! My teaching subjects are math and science! In my previous years, I have taught second and fourth grade and have taught all core subjects throughout my career. My alumni is Texas A&M University, WHOOP! I definitely love going back to watch some Aggie football! When I am not teaching I enjoy hanging out with my husband, family and friends, dancing, gardening, painting, and taking our dogs on walks or to the beach! I also LOVE to travel as much as I can! 

This year I will work diligently with your child to ensure success on all accounts, and I hope you never hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns, suggestions, or even simply for an update on your child's progress. I am always happy and willing to speak and work with my parents, so I welcome your interest in my classroom with open arms.

This year may be more challenging for your child than the last; however, I will do everything in my creative power to make each day a success! My ultimate goal is to maximize understanding and create a passion for learning that can follow your child throughout the rest of his or her life!
