Welcome!

I am so excited about this school year! We have much to learn, and I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Here is a little about me:

I enjoy watching horror movies, listening to good music, traveling, and of course, reading and writing! I am a graduate of College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as the University of Texas at Tyler. I have been teaching English for 6 years.

In our class, we will think, speak, write, and read every day. Reading every day is so important to a student’s success. The more students read, the more success they will find in school and in life. Students are encouraged to read for at least 20 minutes each night in addition to the time given in class.

Important tips for success in my classroom:

• Be ready! This means being ready with pencil, paper, books, and most importantly, being ready to learn.
• Be respectful, responsible, and kind!
