Bachelor of Arts in Theatre – Prairie View A&M University (2007) Texas Educator Certificate – Theatre Arts, Grades EC–12
Mr. David Gatlin
Hello, my name is David Gatlin, and I am honored to serve as one of the Theatre Arts teachers. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Prairie View A&M University and hold a Texas Educator Certificate in Theatre Arts, Grades EC–12. With over four years of experience teaching and directing, I am passionate about helping students grow not only as performers but also as confident, creative young leaders.
Before joining Fort Bend ISD, I taught in Houston ISD, where my students achieved success in UIL One Act Play competitions, including winning a district championship for our production of A Lesson Before Dying. As both an educator and a proud father, I understand how important it is to nurture students’ talents, provide guidance, and create a safe space where every child feels supported. My goal is to use theatre to teach life skills like collaboration, discipline, and leadership that will serve students well beyond the classroom and the stage.
