Senior Conferences Form (click here)
The College Application Process was presented at Senior Conferences, Parent University, 2 Senior Assemblies, SchooLinks announcements to parent and student, and on the CCR website. Please see Dr. Williams for further assistance.
NEXT PARENT UNIVERSITY IS NOVEMBER 12th at DHS. Topics are FAFSA, TAFSA, CSS, Scholarships, and Regular Deadlines.
EARLY ACTION DEADLINESPlease note that 11/1 is a big EA deadline. Below are reminders that were presented at your Senior Conferences, at Parent University, at Senior Assembly, and sent via SchooLinks.- If you are using Common App, you should have already emailed your Counselor for them to send your documents. You do NOT need to email your counselor for Apply Texas.
- You can submit your application at any time. You do not need to wait for your counselor to send your documents. They are aware of and will meet all document deadlines.
- There is no advantage to using Common App over Apply Texas. Even if a rep has a preference for them to personally work with, there is no admissions decision advantage. It all ends up in the same portal for processing.
- Many Early Action schools are NOT test optional and you can NOT self-report. You must send your scores using your College Board account. This can take time (1-2 weeks!), so please plan ahead.
- If you do not meet the Early Action deadline, most will roll you over to their Regular Decision deadline.
As always, I am available in the CCR during all lunches. No appointment needed and no need to miss instruction. If that does not work for you, you can book an appointment with me to call you out of class. I also respond to student emails very quickly.Dr. Williams -
Texas A&M Info Sessions (click here)
Texas A&M is not Early Action or Rolling Admissions in Common App/Apply Texas. They are Regular Decision 12/1. As published on their website and in the application, Engineering is no longer EA in order to accommodate Free Apply Texas Week.
Some applicants may receive ongoing early decisions due to auto-admit, athletes, major-based, etc. Per the Rep, 90% of decisions will come in January/February.
