Science 4-8 Texas Teacher certificate
Ms. Borrero
I am a Texas Science Certified educator with extensive experience teaching science across a wide range of grade levels—from 5th through 12th—both in-state and out-of-state. My journey in education has also taken me to the university level, where I’ve had the privilege of teaching courses in nursing, microbiology, and human anatomy and physiology.
Beyond the classroom, I served as an instructional coach, supporting fellow educators in raising student achievement. I’m proud to say that our collaborative efforts led to measurable success—including significantly increased standardized test scores and helping close academic gaps by 95%. Most recently, my students accomplished the NWEA MAP test with high growth and achievement.
Science is not only my profession but also my lifelong passion—especially biology. My love for research began with science fairs, where I won consecutive years and ranked #4 in my state/territory. That early curiosity evolved into research at the Neurobiology Institute and later shaped my path in medicine. Still, I found my way back to education—because once you are a teacher, you’re a teacher for life.
As a member of an educator’s family, I’ve trained myself to lead with passion, perseverance, and purpose. I believe that each day is a new opportunity for growth for both students and teachers. And now, I instill that same curiosity and drive in my students, encouraging them to explore, ask questions, and shine in their own way.
Science is my passion, as biology is my love.
That passion drives me to be an educator. Knowing that each day is a new opportunity to grow and shine.
