Hello! My name is Erin Weber, and I teach 7th grade English Language Arts. 

I have four children, all enrolled in FBISD. In my dual role as a mother and teacher, I am uniquely positioned to better empathize with my students and their family's needs. My path to teaching is untraditional as I spent fifteen years at home with my children before returning to work. My degree is in Sociology, which lends itself well to education as it's enabled me to view education with an eye toward motivation, equity, and collaboration. 2024-2025 will be my sixth year working at Garcia Middle School and my fourth year teaching ELA. I love teaching and work hard to develop positive relationships with my students.

I have professional experience as a newspaper writer and editor, in the accounting department of a mortgage company, as a project manager overseeing the digitizing of media, and as a teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy watching Astros baseball, doing creative projects, reading, and traveling.
