Ms. Anita L. Agar

I have been teaching 39 years. Over the span of my career, I have had the opportunity to work at a parochial school, an adult education program, an urban school district, a training center on a major gas project overseas, and FBISD. This year is my 22nd year with FBISD. I taught 10 years at LOMS, took a 7.5-year break to work overseas and travel the world, and returned to FBISD in 2011.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, with specializations in English and history.  Additionally, I have earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Detroit and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.

I was born and raised in Lake Orion Township, Michigan. Since Michigan is where my family is, I spend most of my holidays and summers there. I am a die-hard Detroit Lions fan, and my only wish is that they will at least make it to the Super Bowl during my lifetime.

I love teaching, and I especially love teaching the students at Garcia—Go Gators!
