Mr. William S. Slavick

I am so happy to be teaching English as a second language again this year. I love teaching students from around the world.

I started teaching English in Mexico City from 2005 to 2007 and began teaching in FBISD after my family moved from Mexico to Texas in 2007.

I am originally from the Portland, Maine area and graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 1981. Yes, I was there when Joe Montana led the Fighting Irish to a National Championship over the Texas Longhorns in 1977. I studied Spanish at U.N.A.M. in Mexico City for 2 years. My wife and daughter are from Mexico, and my daughter graduated from  Texas A & M. My wife is a bilingual teacher with HISD. We have two dogs. Our family lives in Richmond, but my parents and sisters are spread out all over the world from Brazil to New Zealand to Pittsburg, Los Angeles, Portland, Maine and Boston.
