Welcome to Mrs. Luna's 5th grade ELA and Social Studies Class! I’m so excited about starting a brand-new year and for us to grow and learn as a family.
This is my 17th year teaching, and each year brings about new challenges and joys. I earned my bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University and my masters from University of Texas in Arlington. I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 8th grade, and I'm also ESL certified and GT trained.
I have two amazing daughters, two very hyper fur babies, and a wonderful husband. In my spare time, I love exploring state and national parks, reading, and creating things in my craft room.
The best way to reach me with any questions is by emailing me at maritza.luna@fortbendisd.com. I look forward to learning from you this year at Malala Elementary!
