For the 2024-2025 school year, this is my second year as the Assistant Band Director for George Bush High School and my eleventh year in FBISD with nine years at Hodges Bend Middle School. I am a native of Houston, Texas and I grew up in Alief ISD where I learned how to play the clarinet in 6th grade. I decided to become a Band Director, during my Senior year at Alief Elsik High School, when I was the Head Drum Major and Band President.  I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with Education Certification and I received an invitation for membership into Pi Kappa Lambda, a national music honor society. I am a member of Texas Music Educators Association.

My husband and I enjoy playing outside with our 2 handsome boys and dog. Also, in my spare time, I train/compete in Triathlons. (swim-bike-run)
