For the 2024-2025 school year, this is my first year as the Head Band Director at Garcia Middle School and my eleventh year in FBISD, after spending nine years at Hodges Bend Middle School & one year at George Bush High School. I am a proud Houston native, having grown up in Alief ISD, where I first learned to play the clarinet in 6th grade. My passion for music and education solidified during my senior year at Alief Elsik High School, where I served as Head Drum Major and Band President, leading me to pursue a career as a Band Director.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Education Certification. During my time there, I was honored to be invited into Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honor society. I am also a member of the Texas Music Educators Association.

Outside of the classroom, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our two wonderful boys, and in my free time, I love training for and competing in triathlons (swim-bike-run), piecing together puzzles and caring for my potted plants.
