Ms. Frenchette Guient
Welcome! My name is Frenchette Guient. I'm an original Texan with strong ties and upbringing in New Orleans, LA. I attended O. Perry Walker High School in Algiers, a New Orleans subdivision. I participated in sports and lettered in volleyball, basketball, and track; I also played tennis and softball. I come from a family of teachers. .
As a SAILS Special Education teacher, my ultimate goal is to see my students become productive, independent, contributing citizens. I encourage my students to work hard to accomplish their dreams. With this belief, they know they can accomplish anything they set their hearts to. I instill in them the belief that they can be anything they want to be and do whatever their hearts desire.
I have been a Texas-certified teacher for over twenty years. My professional career started at Christa McAuliffe Middle School, where I taught Reading, ELA, and Math. I taught ELA , Math, and Life skills at Dulles High School, and have been a teacher at Lake Olympia Middle School in the areas of Resource ELA/Reading, and SAILS. I received my teaching degree from Texas Southern University in Houston, Tx. Although my original major was not in teaching, I have grown to love the field. I am certified in the areas of Special Education, Physical Education, Health, and ESL. I am also a former Girl's athletics coach at Christa McAuliffe and Lake Olympia Middle School, and was the sponsor/founder of an all-girls group (L.Y.T.E.- Leading Young Ladies Through Etiquett).
