Welcome to Cornerstone Elementary School! This is my ninth year teaching Resource in Fort Bend ISD and my eighteenth year of teaching.
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I attended elementary, middle and high school in North East, Pennsylvania where my dad, two brothers and two sisters still live. When I was in elementary school I struggled. With the help of some fantastic teachers, I made it through. Those teachers inspired me to teach and attempt to give frustrated children hope and confidence to enjoy school and be whatever they want to become.
After high school, I attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where I was President of Council for Exceptional Children, Philanthropy Chair for Delta Zeta Sorority and was chosen Outstanding Junior in Special Education. After graduation, I moved to Ohio to teach Life Skills in the Cleveland Municipal School District. I returned to Erie, Pennsylvania to teach Learning Support and was a Special Education Coordinator at the Robert Benjamin Wiley Community Charter School.
For fun I enjoy crafts, reading, golf, going to the beach, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with my family and friends.
I’m so excited to be a part of your child's educational team. My hope is your child enjoys school as much as I do.
I have wonderful team that I will be working with.
Ms. Gilbert, Ms. Shakir, Ms. Bhanvadia and Ms. Vargeese will be helping me through out the day. My fellow resource teachers Ms. Valentine, Ms. Voelkel and Mr. Soto can help you if I am not available.
