Welcome to fourth-grade! I am Dana Triska and this will be my seventh year teaching fourth-grade! I grew up here in Sugar Land, and graduated from Kempner High School. After high school, I went on to graduate from the University of Houston!
I am married and live in Katy with my husband and our three dogs! In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, going to the movies, getting together with my family, and playing with my dogs.
I believe that to be a great teacher, you have to teach to the different learning styles of the students. That is why, in my classroom, we will do lessons that involve moving around the room, creating things with our hands, and integrating technology into our lessons. I try to become aware of my students' strengths and weaknesses and create challenging activities for each of them. I will be providing small group instruction as well as whole group instruction.
One of my goals is to create a learning environment that is safe for every child. I try very hard to make sure that every child feels emotionally, physically, and socially safe in my classroom. I greatly encourage communication with parents, and I will reply to all questions and concerns.
I am the Technology Integration Champion for CSE and I am looking forward to incorporating many blended learning activities in my classroom!
