Welcome to Cornerstone Elementary!

My name is Tracy Derr. I was born and raised in Sugar Land. I am the middle child of five. My parents still live in the house that I grew up in. We are a close family and enjoy family gatherings. I attended Lakeview Elementary, Sugar Land Middle School, and Dulles High School.

My husband is Terry. We have been married since 1988. We have two children;  Trevor is married and lives in Bali, Indonesia. Our daughter Taylor and her husband Spencer live in the area.

I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University. I moved back to the Sugar Land area and began my first job at Lamar CISD. I taught kindergarten for ten years. I taught pre-k for three years at Kingsbridge Christian Academy. In 2001, I began teaching in FBISD. I taught six years, teaching first grade at Barrington Place Elementary. I have been teaching here at Cornerstone Elementary since the doors opened. I have been teaching for over 30 years.

I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, biking, jogging, swimming and gardening.  I will share many stories about my family.
