For 6 years, Coach Guillen has taught Physical Education and Coaching at Garcia Middle School. She has coached 8th grade Volleyball, 7th grade Basketball, 7/9th grade Cross Country, 7/8th grade Tennis, and 7/8th grade Track & Field. She also holds the title of Girls Athletic Coordinator, overseeing all Girls' Athletics and Coaches at Garcia. For the 2024-2025 school year, Coach Guillen will coach the following sports: 8B Volleyball, 7A Basketball, 7/8 Tennis.

Coach Gibson has taught Health and Coached at GMS since 2019. She has coached 7B Volleyball, 7B & 8B Basketball, and 7/8th grade Track & Field. She was crowned Teacher of the Year in 2022-2023 for being an outstanding Health Teacher. This year Coach Gibson will be coaching the following: 8A Volleyball, 8B Basketball, 7/8th grade Track & Field.

Athletics History: Coach Gibson is born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. In middle school, she was on the Volleyball, Baksetball, and Track & Field team. At Monona Grove High School, she was a 12-time letter winner, being on Varisty Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field for 4 years. In Volleyball, she earned All-Time (Top 5) Leader in Blocks, Kills, and Aces; additionally was named 1st Team Conference H. In Basketball, she earned All-Time (Top 10) Leader in Points and Blocks. 

Coach Gibsons' bread and butter is Track and Field! She was a 4-time Conference Champion in the Shot Put, a 3-time Conference Champion in the Discus, a Wisconsin State Champion and State Record Holder in the Shot put (47' 10"), ended her High School career ranked 6th in the U.S. in Shot Put and 9th in the U.S. in Discus. She earned a full-ride scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison on the Track & Field team. In college, she earned 8, Top-6 Big Ten Championship finishes in the Hammer & Weight Throw and is currently ranked in the All-Time (Top 10) Record holder in the Women's Hammer & Weight Throw at UW-Madison. 

Favorite Coaching Moment: My favorite coaching moments is anytime we get to dress up together! It brings the kids joy and we always have the best time brainstorming ideas for each theme day. More specifically, my favorite game I coached was the Volleyball District Tournament in 2022!

Looking forward to in 2024-2025: I am looking forward to coaching 8th grade Volleyball and after maternity leave last year, I can't WAIT for Track season!!
