Dear 6^th Grade Parents, 

I have been teaching at First Colony Middle School since 2021, and I love being a Bobcat. Before teaching at FCMS, I taught full-time as an elementary educator at the Parish School, and I have a background in special education. Fort Bend ISD is such a unique district with one of the largest international populations. It is my hope (and goal) that each of my students will learn from one another about their cultures. 

My passion for teaching started in college when I was inspired by my American Literature professor's enthusiasm for the subject and his students.  

I am originally from St. Louis, but grew up in Spring, Texas. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Government from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts degree in Government and International Relations, with a minor in Education, from the University of St. Thomas.  I completed my alternative certification in 4-8 Social Studies.

I am married with two children. My son graduated from the University of St Andrews in Scotland in 2022 and is now working full-time as an analyst in international relations. My daughter graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station and is pursuing her passion for global marketing.   I enjoy reading and spending time with my friends and family.
