My name is Sandyia Payton and I'm happy to be here at Garcia Middle School. I'm a proud Graduate of Sam Houston State University.

I have been teaching Journalism for 15 years. I taught for 12 years at the high school I attended in Humble, TX.  I believe that every students has a story to tell.  As student journalists I want my student press members to look for those stories and tell them to the best of their ability. 

I'm looking forward to a great year as a gator!
