Ms. Braucht-Mamelli serves as the Associate Principal of Baines Middle School.  She began her career as a teacher in Illinois, her passion for education led her to Texas in 2006, where she joined the FBISD family.

Her tenure in FBISD spans over many years, during which she initially served as a dedicated history teacher at various schools. In this role, she shared her knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject, fostering a love for learning among her students and igniting their curiosity about the past.

Her passion to guide students towards successful futures, led her to the role of College and Career Counselor at Ridge Point High School. She then served as an assistant principal at RPHS before moving into the associate principal position at BMS.

She earned her a Bachelor's degree from Millikan University and a Master's degree in Education Administration from Concordia University.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Katie is a devoted wife and loving mother to her two children.
