The mission of the Baines Spanish Club is to promote multiculturalism within our community by exploring products, practices, and perspectives that help students develop cultural competence in a global world. Spanish Club members will be exposed to and immersed in various aspects of Hispanic culture, such as music, dance, food, films, and more, while also engaging in authentic tasks to practice the Spanish language.

  • Compare and contrast my own culture with various Hispanic cultures
  • Provide extended learning experiences in the process of acquiring Spanish as a second language
  • Experience Hispanic culture through task-based, authentic scenarios
  • Develop a deeper appreciation for Hispanic heritage
