Hola, Welcome to the Spanish Class!

I am so happy to be part of the pack at Sartartia, and I am looking forward to a great year. I have been part of Fort Bend ISD for 10 years, and this is my second year at Sartartia Middle School.  I am very excited to make a great impact on students and the community!

I am originally from Acapulco, México, but I also lived in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, a beautiful small town.  Outside of school, I take great joy in spending time with my family, my husband, two sons, and our two fur girls, Lola and Harlie.  I also enjoy reading, crafting, and traveling in my free time. 

 I like to see my students enjoy learning and building new perspectives on other cultures. I mostly enjoy creating new relationships with my students and hope to help shape their future positively. I believe that knowing more than one language opens doors and presents numerous opportunities for personal growth and global citizenship. 

I am certain that this year will be a great year for learning a new language. In this class, we will not only learn Spanish, but we will also build strong skills to become successful in other classes. To learn a new language, students will be asked to get out of their comfort zone, be able to make mistakes, and learn to give their best in class every day. I am sure that together we will be able to make this year a successful year full of new knowledge, fun, and success towards mastery of the language.
