Dr. Nathaniel Riley Jr

Hello, I am excited about being the 8th Special Education Math resource teacher this year at Baines Middle School in Fort Bend ISD. Throughout my educational career, I have enjoyed the journey of stimulating curiosity, challenging the minds, and enjoying the accomplishments of my students in Math and Science.

I became an educator, because I have a life-long passion for learning and a desire to be a change agent in my students’ lives. Now, after several years in education, I continue to have a passion to motivate, encourage, and inspire students to pursue a career in the STEM field or in an area of keen interest. There are several national and global challenges in need of solutions. It will be this and future generations of students who will accept the task to solve them.

For my students, my goal is for them to become an intrinsic, lifelong learner. Students should grasp a connection between their experiences and education. This involves a process of understanding their reality, thinking critically about their place in society, and applying the knowledge that their teachers impart to become a collaborator, problem solver, and achiever of their dreams.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nathaniel Riley Jr.
