Hello, my name is Mrs. Tricia Blackwell and I am excited to be working with and learning from such motivationg and hard working educators and students.
I received my teaching credentials from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1992. I have taught Kindergarten, first grade, second grade and was a Reading Recovery teacher in FBISD for 14 years.
I am a native Texan. I have a wonderful husband, two fabulous children, and a beautiful german sheppard named Chloe. When I am not working I enjoy swimming, watching movies, reading and playing board games with my family and friends.
I consider myself an organized, hard-working, and dedicated teacher who puts great effort into preparing my lessons. I am a caring and patient teacher who works well with students of various backgrounds and learning capabilities.
I am SO excited to begin this journey with FCMS new course called Bobcat Discovery. It is a transition class designed to help 6th grade students ease into middle school with confidence and success. Through our curriculum we will equip them with the skills and habits they need to do their very best in all their classes and life in general. I am exited to be part of FCMS and look forward to having a great and successful year!
