I'm so excited to be part of the Sartartia Middle School team!
I'm from New Orleans and have lived in the Houston area since 2006. I am a wife, a mother, and I also have two "fur baby" rescue dogs who are part of our family. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
I obtained my Masters degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA and my B.A. from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. I also have specialized, vast experience in working with people with disabilities. Previous to becoming a teacher, I worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for 13 years where I taught people coping with physical disabilities and injuries, mental/emotional illnesses, learning disabilities, AD/HD, psychological disorders, and substance abuse problems to live more independent lives by assisting them in steps needed to obtain and maintain gainful employment. I have worked with middle school children, high school children, and with adults, but my favorite age to work with has always been middle school.
