Hola, Welcome to Spanish 1A and 1B

I am so happy to be part of the ranch, and I am looking forward to a great year. I have been part of Fortbend for almost 10 years and this is my 3rd year at Baines. 

I am originally from Acapulco, México. I love my native language and to pass on this beautiful gift to my students has been a pleasure. I enjoy creating exciting lessons to create a fun learning environment. I like to see my students enjoy learning and building new perspectives about other cultures. I mostly enjoy creating new relationships with my students and hope to help shape their future in a positive way. I believe that knowing more than one language opens doors and brings many opportunities to grow as a person. 

Outside of school, I take great joy spending time with my family, my husband, two sons and our two fur girls.  I also enjoy reading, crafting and traveling in my free time. 

I am certain that this year will be a great year for learning a new language. In this class we will not only learn Spanish, but we will also build strong skills to become successful in other classes. To learn a new language, students will need to get out of their comfort zone, be able to make mistakes and learn from mistakes to grow every day in class.
