Hello! My name is Brittany Knox and I will be on the sixth grade science team. This is my first year at Sartartia Middle School, and it is also my first year at Fort Bend ISD. Before this, I have taught both sixth-grade and eighth-grade science at Humble Middle School and Cleveland Middle School. I have been in education overall for three years now, going into my fourth. I have received both a BS in Education and a M.Ed in Teaching and Learning from Sam Houston State University (Eat'em Up Kats!).

My belief as a teacher is that all students have the capability of becoming the best versions of themselves that they want to be, and deserve every opportunity of growth available to them. Middle school is such an interesting time getting to see the students really develop and explore their personalities and figure out who they are. I love teaching Science because it helps the kids understand the world around them and to see things through a new lens that they might not have used before. It is also a subject that supports the expansion of critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills, which are all important in today's world.
