My name is Melannie Boullion, and I am the librarian at Palmer. I began my career in education in 1995. Before becoming a librarian, I taught Kindergarten, First, and Second grades. I attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas for my Bachelor’s Degree. I graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I returned to Sam Houston State in 2011 and graduated with my Master’s of Library Science in 2014. I loved being a classroom teacher, but I am truly blessed to be the librarian at Palmer. I have had a love of reading beginning in the third grade when my grandpa gave me Ramona Quimby, age 8. The right book at the right time sparked my love of literacy, and I am on a mission to guide every student at Palmer to love literacy too! Whether you read hardcovers, paperbacks, listen to audiobooks, or read ebooks—literacy is for everyone!
