Mr. Jiandang Ge

With a background in science and engineering, I started my teaching career as a high school math teacher in 2016. This is my eighth year teaching middle school math at Fortbend ISD. I love teaching and enjoy the happiness and satisfaction of passing knowledge to students. I came to the US in 2003 and received my Ph.D degree in Geophysics from University of Memphis. After graduation, I worked as a geophysicist for geophysical service companies, where I used mathematics as a tool to image the subsurface of the Earth. Before coming to the US, I received my Bachelor and Master's degrees in Geology in China and had been working as a geologist on petroleum exploration.

In the 2024-2025 school year, I teach Math 7 AAC and Geometry. As a math teacher, my goal is always to help each student in my class to reach his or her full potential in Math. Although the definition of success for each individual student may be different, I believe that everyone in my classes will succeed! Without their success, I would never succeed!
