Hello! My name is Paige Ruiz. I will be teaching 8th grade ELA this year. I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was in high school. I took a class then that allowed me to intern in two elementary school classrooms (similar to student teaching). From the second I was in the classroom, I knew that it was the path for me and pursued it. I went to Cottey College after graduating high school for my associate's degree and, later, I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2017 with my Bachelor of Arts in English and minor in Secondary Education. I went into teaching after college and started my first full year in 2018. This is actually my 6th year teaching! Wow, time flies by so fast! I previously taught English II and 7th grade language arts in another school district. This is my first year in FBISD, and I am so excited about the 2023-24 school year! I look forward to seeing all of my students grow as writers and readers!
Please check out this page for more information about what courses I teach, my degrees and certifications, and more.
