Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! 

The Falcon Robotics Team is a highly competitive team of 20 students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. We participate in the REC Foundation's Aerial Drone Competition and the FBISD Robotics Competition.

There will be an information meeting for students to learn more about the team and the application process.

• The information meeting will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4:30 to 5:15 PM.

After the information meeting, the application process will open. The application process is in three parts:

• An online informational form
• A coding evaluation
• A drone piloting and directing evaluation

The form will open on August 29th and close on September 7th. The coding and drone evaluations will take place on September 4th, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM.

Once applications close on September 7th, applications will be evaluated and the team of 20 students will be selected. Once the selection has been made, emails will be sent to all applicants with either an acceptance notice or a wait list notice. Currently, selection is anticipated to be complete by September 14th.

Students who do not complete all parts of the application process will not be considered for the team.

Students may participate in other extracurricular activities, but this is a team and regular attendance at team practices is expected. Team practices will be on Thursdays, from 4:30 to 6:30.

Team member fee is $150 per student. This includes a team shirt, supplies for the team (drones, robotics, etc.), and team registration fees.
