Hello, my name is Mrs.Kasin (Coach Kasin) and this is my th  year teaching PE , however my 12th year at Scanlan Oaks. I started out as a Special Education Paraprofessional then took a year off to pursue my teaching degree. I came back as a PE Para for three years. I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor of Arts. My original goal was to be a Special Ed teacher, however, I am so excited my path took a different turn and I followed it. I am in love with being a PE teacher and enjoy watching my students have fun while building skills needed for a healthy, happy life.

I grew up in New York and I am the youngest of four. I met my husband in New York and we married in 1999. We have two beautiful girls age 18 and 20.. Our family moved to Texas 13 years ago and we reside in wonderful Sienna Plantation. My husband owns Octane Pools and is very involved in giving back to Sienna Schools. My favorite past time is being around my family and taking long walks with our four dogs and working out. This year is going to be very different in many ways as both my girls will be leaving the nest ( don't blink) I am not sure how we got here so fast. My youngest will be at Sam Houston ( Go Bearcats) and my oldest will be at University of Houston business school ( Go Cougars). 

I am looking forward to seeing all my students this year even though it will be a little, who am I kidding ALLOT different. I embrace teaching with my whole heart and I know that it may be a different year, but it is going to be a great year.  Proud to be Scanlan Strong everyday....all day.
