Hello!  My name is Lana Aitken.  I have been teaching at Scanlan Oaks Elementary since it opened in 2004.  This is the beginning of my 31st year of teaching, and I continue to have a passion for teaching and a love for our school. I work with such wonderful teachers and families!  

I recently celebrated my 35th wedding anniversary in January with the love of my life and best friend!  We have a daughter, Tori, and a son, Zach, who is married to my amazing daughter-in-law, Kirstie! I am Nana to our first grandchild, Olivia. (We call her Livy!) She has brightened my world more than I could have ever imagined she would! I enjoyed spending time taking care of her over the summer. I love spending time with my family and going out to eat.

I truly love teaching and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of each child I teach!
