Welcome to second grade! My name is Amy D'Oench (Dench).   I graduated from Dulles High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science-Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Texas A&M University. I have been teaching for 27 years. I have taught K, 2nd, 3rd and 6-8th. My favorite is 2nd grade.   

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 28 years, and I have three awesome children. My oldest has graduated from college and works at the police station with my husband.   My son is a Texas Tech graduate and is recently engaged .  My youngest is in her 3rd year at UTSA. 

I have so many things that I love to do when I am not at school.  I enjoy traveling, golfing, and spending time with my friends.  Family game night is also a highlight for me. 

I am looking forward to a wonderful year with all of you!
