My name is Mikal Boston and I am so excited to be the art teacher here at Scanlan Oaks Elementary School. This will be my seventh year of teaching elementary art. 

I am born and raised in Houston, TX, and I graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Art and a minor in Art History. I later earned my teacher certification through Texas Teachers of Tomorrow. 

When I am not teaching, I am an artist that runs an art business Metal Rabbit Studio with my mom and fellow painter. 

I believe that art is about exploring and adventure. I look forward to having an amazing year with you in Art!
