Hello! I am Emily Reader, your Music teacher! I am so excited to start another year with you at Scanlan!

When you meet me you might spot that I am not a native Texan -I was actually born in Wakefield, England and moved with my parents and brother to League City in 2008. I attended Clear Creek High School and Abilene Christian University where I received my Bachelor’s of Music Education in December 2016.

I love cats, Harry Potter, Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. But most of all I love singing and I am a proud Alto in the Houston Symphony Chorus.
