Hi! My name is Briana Gilkes.  I love teaching at Scanlan Oaks Elementary and have been teaching for seven years, first in second grade and now in kindergarten. I was born in Virginia but grew up in San Antonio, Texas. I moved to Houston in 2016 and graduated from the University of Houston where I received a Cum Laude Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband and I got married in 2017 and had our first child October of 2018.
