This is my 17th year of teaching. My first five years were as a 4th grade teacher, in Alief ISD. I have been in Fort Bend ISD for 11 years now. Ten of those years have been here at David Crockett M.S. as a sixth grade ELA teacher. I am an "Original Maverick"!
At home, I am a mother of three wonderful children, and married to my best friend, Richard. We have several pets, and seem to accumulate more and more, as my children bring new animals home. I was raised in the Pittsburgh, PA area (Go Steelers!), but have also lived in Alaska, and South Carolina. My husband and I moved to Texas in 1999.
In 2000, I graduated from La Roche College, in Pittsburgh, PA, with a BA in Education. Teaching is not a job, it is a calling. I try, everyday, to motivate, teach, and feel pride in this profession that I love.
